I founded Fundación Mi Historia to develop and apply participatory narrative approaches with children, teenagers and young adults affected by armed conflict, organised crime, social exclusion and youth justice. The Foundation combines research, creative practice and programme delivery to support identity reconstruction, agency, civic participation, violence prevention and reintegration.

Fundación Mi Historia does not claim to give young people a voice. It creates processes through which their knowledge, experiences and priorities can shape research, programmes and public debate. Participants are involved as narrators, researchers, youth journalists and co-creators rather than treated only as beneficiaries or sources of testimony.

The Foundation works across prevention, justice, disengagement and reintegration. Participants include children and teenagers exposed to recruitment, active gang members, young people in the justice system and those rebuilding their lives after involvement in armed groups or organised crime. Change depends on sustained support across families, communities and institutions.
